Rainy-day ideas: confirmed indoor options

By Jon Cosson · Updated 1 November 2026 · Checked

These existing planner records have a sourced indoor option. That is not a weather guarantee: approaches or parts of a visit may still be outdoors. Check the individual note and opening information before travelling.

Visitor questions

Is the whole visit indoors?
Not necessarily. An indoor option means a sourced indoor part of a visit, not a promise that the journey, approach and every activity are sheltered. Read the scope note for each place.

The list, key facts and source links come from the same checked records as Plan My Day. Individual sources and check dates are shown above, including any month-only dates. Unconfirmed requirements do not qualify. For broader advice, read the car-free guide, accessibility guide and family guide.
