Getting around the city centre. York's centre is small and mostly flat, and the main sights are inside the walls within a short walk of each other. York station is about a 10-minute walk from the Minster. Markers show the building or site, not always the exact entrance.
Coming from the Moors by car. The park and ride sites sit on the ring road. Grimston Bar, beside the A64 east of the city, is the most convenient if you are coming from or going to the Moors. For the attractions themselves, see our guide to attractions in York city.
